Grazia anniversary and Vogue Fashion's Night Out

The first two weeks of September have been crazy! In a good way ;) I thought it would be nice to tell you what I've been up to lately.

On 31 August, Grazia Magazine Netherlands celebrated its 10 year anniversary with a Hotel Takeover in Amsterdam. Early in the evening, I arrived at the Arena hotel were the party was already in full swing. I made lots of live sketches of the fashionable guests. I work quick at events like this: about 10 minutes per sketch.

Grazia also published an article about my work. It's in Dutch, you can check it out here.

A week later, on September 8th, I took the train to Dusseldorf to decorate footwear bags for Ted Baker at the Vogue Fashion's Night Out at the Breuninger flagship store. Dusseldorf is not that far from Utrecht, only 2 hours by train. I checked into a cute hipster hotel called Max Brown and changed into my Ted Baker outfit. After a quick meal which consisted of fresh sushi in Dusseldorfs Japan Town (yes, Dusseldorf has a Japan Town instead of ChinaTown), I went to Breuninger to start the festive evening!

My Ted Baker outfit!

It was a great evening! So many people came by to see what I was drawing and to have a chat. That's one of the things I really like about live sketching at events: talking with customers about art, style and fashion.

The next morning, I took the 9 o'clock train back to the Netherlands to travel to the next live-sketching event: the kids fashion show at the Petit Merci store in Apeldoorn.

Love,

Anna
