I knew the old 17th and 18th century buildings along the Amsterdam canals are beautiful, but I felt in awe as I walked into the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, situated at the Herengracht with its marble entrance, brass doors and the soft sounds of someone playing the piano. I was there to make live illustrations for Oger, a family owned business specialized in good quality handmade and tailored suits for gents. During the Waldorf Wedding Experience I made quick live sketches of the grooms to be.
After consulting with the Oger tailors, the men would tell me what they imagines their perfect wedding suit would look like and I drew them in it.
I had a great time at the lovely Waldrof Astoria Hotel Amsterdam meeting and drawing lots of great people! Most of the time I draw women at these live illustration events, so it was a nice change to draw men and I really enjoyed myself.
