Live illustrations for IWC Schaffhausen

On a sunny Sunday around noon, I walked into the IWC Schaffhausen boutique in the PC Hoofdstraat in Amsterdam. The event was set on Father's Day: a perfect day for giving fathers a special custom made work of art!

Live illustrations are one of my favorite parts of being a fashion illustrator. I don't draw men very often, but I like doing something a little different and stepping outside my comfort zone from time to time. I'd prepared some background illustrations for this event. The visitors could choose between a setting with Portofino in the background, a vintage Silberpfeil sports car or riding a motorcycle with IWC ambassador Bradley Cooper. All settings were made in advance in close contact with IWC, to match the brands' collections.

Here are some of the live drawings I made that day!

I really enjoyed the event and having a bit different take on live drawing by using the pre-made settings. Drawing men is something I might also do more often in my free work.

Next up: a local shopping street event in my hometown Utrecht on 7 July and illustrations for Reiss during Vogue's Fashion Night Out at the Bijenkorf store!
